On the penultimate day of the 2006 cricket season, sob: Crying or Very sad

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/counties/5373246.stm

wish i'd made the journey down to see it! Typical Shane, though, try to get a declaration for an implausible victory, and he'd really have gone for it, like he did at Lord's against Middlesex earlier this season!

Following on from that: I'm just listening to the play-off between hants and glamorgan, and apparently, Warnie, trying to get Lancs to deckare, and offer a gane (he originally asked for a declaration to chase 320), got so pissed off that he was trying to get all the bowlers warned off for bowling too many bouncers, so there wouldn't be any hants bowlers left to bowl! He even thought of forfeiting the game...! He bowled 20 feet in the air, and got the wicketkeeper to bowl again.

He's a lad, isn't he?!

yeah, really wish i'd gone. or today, for the last day of the cricket season, hants are doing really well, 6.4 per over, although shane put himself in at three, and went out for 4!

Just hope they don't do anything daft! At least they could get promoted for the pro-40, after finishing third in the division, and not winning the c&g. come on!

wow, shane just took 2-16 to thrash glamorgan by 151 runs in the pro-40 play off, which means Hants have won promotion to the first division! HURRAH!

Hahahaha...

Easy to tell who are one-eyed Shane Supporters.

Shane promotes himself to 3 and goes out for 4. His two wickets were taken when the opposition were 8 for 100 Smile

Hahahaha...

What about the opener who scored 130 in 37 overs.
Or the bowler who took the top three wickets.

Let's say - Shane had alot of support in the victory.

yeah, and since the captain carries the can when everything goes badly, he gets the credit when it goes well...

Actually, it's not just us! When Shane came on to bowl, there was a HUGE cheer from the crowd (all Hants supporters) who clearly love him... almost as much as warneyishot and i do Smile Not quite though, that'd be impossible!
